I'm torn, so I didn't vote (yet).....

I'll always fondly remember my time with a rental Mustang, in Miami. A child of the late-80s and early-90s FWD era, that was my first experience with a RWD vehicle that had enough power to lay rubber, and boy, did she cook some good U-turns (this was in '99, before the days of GPS, and I was in Lauderdale for a convention, so I was frequently lost or semi-lost).

But at the same time, I truly think that a proper AWD hole-shot launch is something that every automotive enthusiast should experience once in their life...and the practicality of such vehicles is certainly undeniable, if you live anywhere where inclement weather in the manner of the slippery white stuff is anything but a specter.

And, of-course, there's also something strangely fun about holding on and fighting the wheel, for dear life, as a powerful FWD tries to claw its way from a standing stop...or even from a roll.

Wow Tsi! I couldnt have explained it better. That is exactly how i feel about all 3. Out of all of them everyone needs to experience the awd launch, specially when making big power. Its a feeling like no other. Thats why i never switched back to fwd or rwd

my view is fwd is a fail boat and frikkin sweet if you like wheel hop and no traction.

AWD has its good side... bad weather is about it.

RWD is the only way to go.

I learned how to drive MT on a wrx.. and that's the only time i have ever driven awd.
I FEEL like awd is an easy way to drive a car fast around a turn.. like there isn't much skill needed..
Its cool technology n stuff.. but i dont think its needed if u know your stuff.

I like to get a little side ways sometimes making a left turn..
front steers, rear drives.. no need to over work the tyers =)
